Magazine follower/spring Win 120 Ranger, where??
Hello Experts.
I've browsed through E-Gunparts and found zip...
I'm looking for :
Magazine follower (12 gauge)
Magazine spring
For a Winchester 120 Ranger, 12 gauge pumpgun.
I've found that Winchester 1300 should be compatible, but again... found zip.
Are there any other MODELS that will interchange.?!?
EDIT(s):
I don't need "how to make one yourself", I'd want ORIGINAL PARTS.!!!
Last time I tried NU LINE - "We dont do exports".

If you are good at improvising, I would think that you could devise your own end cap (fashion it from a plastic cap, or perhaps even a fired 12ga shotgun hull. Might even be able to use a 10ga shell inside the magazine tube if it will fit inside. Epoxy one end of the spring inside plastic cap or shell hull and that will be your new 'shell follower') and substitute a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12ga magazine spring. That should get your gun up and functioning again for peanuts.

not using the correct follower will cause the last shell not to feed up. 0 -

Numrich has both the Magazine Follower and Magazine Spring but they don't have the Magazine Damper Spring. Check out Part Key #'s 10 and 11 at the link below. The total cost is $15.90 before shipping.

Parts from the semiauto "Winchester Ranger" - fits on the Winchester 120 Ranger pumpgun ????
I just don't want to order something, have it exported... and end up with the wrong stuff.
It takes too friggin' long, so need to be sure - or I'm just dumpin' the whole project.0 -

The "Ranger" is the designation that I know of that is mostly used for the shotgun, although it is designated as the Model 120 Ranger. Edited: After double checking the Shotgun schematics, it appears that Numrich has the schematics for the Model 140 (which is also called the Ranger or Model 140 Ranger) and the Ranger as the same for both shotguns. Therefore, the parts for the Ranger that Numrich lists, will not work on your' shotgun! The Model 120 Ranger is a cheaper, entry level version of the Model 1200 (not the Model 1300) and it is possible that the parts listed for it, will work on the Model 120 Ranger. It also appears that parts for a Model 1300 will also work. Contact them via phone when ordering, to insure that you get the correct parts. In the meantime, I will try to call them and note the error that they have in the Model listings and schematics.
(There should be a listing for the Model 120 or the Ranger that they list, should be the correct one and it is not.) (I think that the problem is, that Winchester gave the "Ranger" designation to too may Models of shotguns and also gave it to some rifles as well!)
Below is the link to their list of Winchester Models of Rifles and Shotguns and if you check them out, you will note that the schematics for the Model 140 and the Ranger are the same, which should not be the case.

I am sorry for the confusion! I should have noticed that the schematic for the Ranger showed a semi-automatic shotgun versus a pump shotgun!
Wow, exactly the expert advice I was hoping for =o)
As for the auction... "No international shipments" and "PayPal" keeps me from bidding.
BIG THANKS. =o)0 -
You allready gave good advice, and you didn't waste any time - you found out way more than I could =o) And for that I truly thank you.
Seems like the parts could be found anyway - they're ordered.
Now I just hope that E-Gunparts sends it in 12 gauge. (parts had no caliber mentioned).
You gave some GREAT help. [:)] and THANK YOU !!
But us foreigners seeking parts for US made guns, always run into "Sorry, we don't do exports" - and I've even been told "We dont do exports, because ANYONE outside USA are frauds anyway.".
Some just don't want the hazzle of making out the export-papers, and say no to exports. I can understand that.
I would have loved to have bid on the parts, but if you knew I was sitting in a small city in Greenland - with 500 citizens, we don't have a bank, just a postal office. I checked earlier in the year, they don't have foreign currency laying around.
So transferring US Dollars from a nearby bank to Qaanaaq where I am, will take 2-3 weeks, plus one more week to get the funds out to the seller. At which point the parts have been relisted and I received negative feedback.
We only have one weekly plane coming in.
I also tried having the bank issue an international bankcheque and send it directly to the seller (a good friend of mine).
But since bankcheques doesn't look much like US cheques, smaller banks decline to EVEN TRY running the cheque.
Again the explanation was "foreigners are often frauds anyway, so why bother.?"
Unfortunately PayPal haven't set up their system correct for Greenland, so just being able to transfer funds into a PayPal account is a hazzle - plus Paypal policy is to not accept fund-transfer for orders containing guns/-parts. So I don't support them to begin with. Many has that standpoint. =o)
So all this kind of restricts my possibilities.
If I'm lucky enough to find someone that has the parts - I'd be very lucky if they want to do exports.
So ordering original parts from for instance Numrich, Brownells or Cabelas - is just about the only options.
Just needed compatible models to succeed. =o)0 -
Nanuk;
Send me an e-mail. Canadian export regulations aren't as strict as U.S.A and you/me can probably find the part you need.

Hi HappyNanog Just seen your blog and I would like to resond. The reason we (and other parts sellers )can't export gun parts is we can't get a export lic. We contated the nearest exporter and he told us that he would handle the exporting for us , but he wanted a fee of $200.00 per transaction plus shipping cost and the price of the part. Not a good deal if the parts are 25.00 or even 50.00.
If Canada has easer exporting laws you might try Western gun Parts in Edmonton AB Canada. There phone no. is 780/489/5711. They have a very large Winchester parts inventory and are good people to deal with. Boots0
