decent AK
Want to buy a decent AK.I want to keep away from anything that century has anything to do with.I got burned too many times from that company. What other importers can I deal with to get a decent AK without getting one with a bent bbl or canted sights?

Century doesn't import the whole AK. They Import some parts, and then build them, with some other parts that are made in the USA. Their builders have not a clue what they are doing.
I would look at the Arsenal USA made ones. You can get stamped reciever, or milled reciever. They have many options available, and there are usually several on the auction side that are faitly priced. The SLR 95 which was a Bulgarian MADE AK imported by Arsenal USA, and then revamped with some US parts to meet USS 922, are nice rifles too. There might even be a couple of them on the auction side. As you can tell, I lean toward the milled reciever AK's. Of the milled reciever AK-47, the Poly Tech Legend is the HOLY GRAIHL of collectors and shooter's.

IMHO, your best bet is one of the Chinese pre-bans from the mid to late 80's time frame. if you don't want to put up the money for one of the premium build high dollar models, (that TSR 1965 mentioned ), or some basement built parts gun.
They are the most common of the pre-bans, as they were imported and sold in quantity. Still a lot of them around at descent prices, since the nobama gun panic has subsided. Check the on-line auctions. Lots of folks bought all they could get their hands on, because they thought the lib democraps were going to ban everything. Now that they are hurting money and job wise, lots of the pre-bans are on the block at a big discount over the panic prices.0 -
Having built hundreds of AKs, the Arsenal ones are head and shoulders better than the Chikom crap. Soft barrels and soft steel, along with hard to get spares are the reason. Arsenal USA still warranties their rifles. Good lucking getting Chun Li to fix anything on a ChiKom stick.
This ain't the 80s.0
