Model 12 question..........
Local gun shop has a 12 ga model 12 with a 26" full choke and a solid rib, the gun is in about 65%. Serial # is 522XXX, he wants $200 for it, good buy or not?

Unless there is something seriously wrong with it, $200 sounds like a pretty nice buy on a 65% Model 12! 0 -
"26" full choke"...........check to make sure it has not been cut, if it has it is cylinder bore now. still a good buy, you can have win-chokes installed. 0 -
Excellent point; I glossed right over that! As you mention though, it still sounds like a good buy! 0 -
That is too good of a deal. Check that gun over very carefully for repair/function/ etc. If it passes you got a real good deal. Let us know. 0 -
Solid rib gun should have deluxe wood too, good buy. Ask him to let you shoot it out the back door. 0 -
By the way Cartod LMAO on your reply about how you would end it all if you had a choice (remote girl)[:D][:D]quote:Originally posted by cartod

Models 12's were offered in 26" full choke configurations with the solid rib beginning in 1914 IIRC.
I also own several solid rib models 12's that dont have deluxe wood.(field grade).0 -
Buy it! 0 -
