Winchester 670 calibers?
Could anyone provide a definitive answer as to which calibers the "cheap '70" Winchester 670 was chambered in. I have appreciated them ever since I took my first Whitetail. I have acquired several in many calibers: .225 win, .243, .270, 30-06, .308, 7MMag, .300 Win mag.

Made from 66-79 with @ 287000 made in sporting, Magnum and carbine configurations. You have listed the seven calibers it was made in. There could be a special order caliber, but, that would be hard to prove. 0 -
They were also apparently made with two safety styles: The standard 70 three-possition bolt shroud safety and a trigger block fore & aft safety located behind the bolt handle. The two 670's I have are both of the trigger block variety. 0 -
Thanks for the info folks. I have a line on a .264 win mag but he is not ready to sell yet. I have some in both safety configurations, i.e.; 2-position and typical 70 3 pos. Any info you have is greatly appreciated. 0
