You have a modern Italian replica of an 1860 Colt revolver with fluted cylinder. The "PN" means "Pulvero Negro", Italian for "Black Powder".

However, the bottom picture doesn't seem to be the same revolver as it doesn't have a fluted cylinder. Can you please explain?

Thx Spider. I had not seen those proofs on older Colts. You saved me much time. I guess all the engraving was for show and re-enactments.

The Proof Marks are Italian, fairly recent at that. Unless the 4th Alabama Calvary was one of Mussolini outfits I wouldn't be putting it on the auction. Folks would just laugh their a** off at your expense.

Edit 1,"AI" in the square box is the Italian coded proof date. It is 1982.

That was on the other gun an Italian Copy.

    Sorry for the mix up.

Here is the Colt's which also has the PN on it.

Thx Rufe-Snow and Spider. Some things are out of my realm of knowledge. But as I keep coming back, ya'll sure can teach me a new trick. Glad I waited. I was not making a move without backup for sure.

Hello Trader Dave I guess the seller is ready to MOVE. This is a fake and on top of that rust everywhere. I would buy a monopoly game and call him and tell him you have $5000.00 to give for the gun if he will move his lying butt to your house and bring the pistol .
