We need pics to help you. this thread shows you how: http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=259294

However, it's more likely an octagon (8 sided) barrel rather than a hexagon (6 sided).

There are vine type designs on the brass and body.

During the 19th Century various European manufacturers made both licensed and unlicensed copies of Colt percussion revolvers.

Size wise your appears quite diminutive. Larger in size than a miniature, but smaller then the real mccoy. Looks almost like a 1/2 size 51 Navy.

Is it marked KM or any other proofmarks under the rammer on the barrel ?
It looks like you need at least a backstrap, hammer spring, grips, trigger and maybe internal parts like cyl. locking bolt, trigger spring, hand and hand spring which may or may not be similar to Colt parts.
It's a possibility and you would be lucky if the 1849, 31 cal Colt Pocket Model parts fit or can be altered to fit.

Not much help but "C. GUNTERMANN IN DUSSELDORF" is listed as a gunmaker circa 1850 which is about right for your revolver.

No other marks like proof marks?
