DPMS Panther BULL 20 .223?
I was wondering what everyones experiences is with this rifle...pros and cons and accuracy. Is the 20 better than the 16? I will be using for predators and varmints. Thanks for your help?

First off, DPMS has first rate stuff. They are second to none. I am not sure if you are going to be sitting or walking and calling, but the 20 incher will offer a little more velocity than the 16 inch. I have a RRA 16" Varmint upper, and it has a 1 in 8 twist. It naturally likes bullets heavier than 60 grains, and loves the Barne's 62, and 70 grain TSX bullets. You want to check and see what twist rates you can get that DPMS in. A one in 12 would be better for the 40-55 grain weight bullets.
Secondly, that 16" varmint upper is weighty. I mean it is solid...plus some. You might want to see if you can come up with a mid weight solution. Accuracy however is awesome.

I have a DPMS 20" heavy barrel that I had cut down to a 18". The recoil is ligher and it is a tack driver. You will love it. 0
