Iver Johnson .32 revolver
I found one at a pawn shop for $150, they said they could do it for $100. It's rather pitted and worn, but it seems fully functional. Is it worth it?

Came across this revolver when inventorying my father-in-law's estate. Stamped Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycleworks Fitchburg Mass USA on top of barrel. No serial number I can find. Owl on butt plate faces towards barrel and down. Bottom of butt is stamped with a series of dates ending with "Mar.13.08 AU". Trying to sort out what's of value to the family and what is not. Belonged to my father-in-law's grandfather apparently. 0 -
There is one on auctionside for $50. opening bid. If you like it, and want it , buy it. I myself have no use for one ,and would pass on it. I would rather put the $100 in ammo for something i already have. 0 -
I just bought one of those for 20 bucks. Nice cond. but with a broken trigger return spring. It is pre 1900 so don't shoot it with smokeless ammo or possible ambulance ride to you know where. No black powder ammo that I can find!! I.J. made tens of thousands of these pistols. A cute little conversation piece I suppose. 0 -
the information furnished is too limited for any one to make a correct estimate of value on this revolver. iver johnson began making firearms in 1871 and revolvers in 1873 and continued to make them until 1978. the 32 caliber revolvers were made in just about all models, top break and solid frame. without knowing which model it is i could not even began to tell you if it is a good buy.
