Advices on a 94 made in 1925
Here are some pics of a Win 94 made in 1925 with a colour case hardened receiver!!! Does anyone know if Winchester has made 94 with colour case hardened receiver in the 1920's?

That old Winchester is in horrid condition[xx(]
No, Winchester did not color case harden anything (most especially a Model 94) in the mid 1920s. Winchester officially stopped color case hardening all models in August of 1901.0 -

Bert knows! I can see the hot spot torch marks where el Dipstick tried to mimic case color. The gun was once very rusty and you can see the uneveness of the metal surfaces and especially in the roll stamping where it alternates between sharp and obliterated. $300 tops, and I think you would be hard pressed to get that. As Bert said, everyone is entitled to live in their own fantasy world. Maybe some schmuck will bite on a story and pay $800+ for that, but they will richly desrve what they get...a non reach around tailgating, if you get my drift. 0
