Hey guy's, first off I would like to thank everyone for all the advice and comments you have made regarding my questions. I would like to get into reloading and recently saw an item on GB. The # is
14479963. Is this a good purchase or are there better deals with dies out there. I dont know a damn thing about it so give me everything you've got.

    Thanks

    Larry

    Hello deer140,

Welcome to the forums here on Gunbroker.com.

I am not sure what you have there, but we would like to see some pictures, and get a little more information. It would help us acern what you have there, and give you more information. From what information you have given us, you could have two revolvers with mis matched cylinder's, or two custom made revolver's/cylinders.

I wonder if you're not misreading the stampings on the guns,Rugers have 'series numbers' suchs 30 dash, which inidcates the year of mfgr.
    ie:30-21045 for a serial number.This started in the early 70's I think.

There have been several attempts to wildcat revolver cartridges with bottleneck shapes but few were even moderately successful. These could be such attempts. Need more info and measurements of the bore for starters.

deer140---Do the Bbls. have the original Ruger role stamp on them? If not the guns probably have been re-barreled, then anything is possible. HAWKSHAW

Assuming you know what you have and just speculating...
Ruger made a good number of .30 Carbine Blackhawks.
Ruger made some .32-20 Blackhawks for Buckeye Sports.

Some wildcatter may have rechambered one each of these for .357 Magnum necked down to .30 and .32. I recall Ackley listing .30-357 as the .30 Paxton.

Dies for the .32 version would be a custom proposition.
You might contact CH-4D, they do a lot of odd dies at lower prices than the other companies.

    Hello again;
The one I though to be a30-357 is with a 40 dec. angle on the neck. The other is sitll . has to be wildcat. The dim. are
    neck---.337
    base---.379
    rim----.440
    case lengh app.--1.20
This one started ouy as a .357 mag blackhawk. Barrel is roll stamped ruger.
Will have loading and forming dies mad for both.

Would like to know if anyone would have anykind of loading info. Or would know about where to start.
