Well....if 4.3 inches high @100 yards is going to make it dead on at 150 yards, one could further speculate that it is going to drop even more at 200 yards. This thing we call gravity, starts taking effect on the projectile, as soon as it leaves the barrel. So, if it has dropped from 4.3 inches high at 100 yards to 0 or on the line of sight at 150 yards, it certainly is not going to take off, and rise back up again.

Yes, Trajectory is correct for this velocity and weight of bullet. This is a relatively big and slow projectile, not a streamlined fast rifle bullet. Can't beat gravity.

The Rem accu tip sabot is about the best there is...

tsr, I'm aware of the effects of gravity, thanks for pointing that out..My thoughts were 12-13" drop from 150-200 just seemes like a lot, hence my post. zimmden..thanks!..wpage, checked rem site, thats where I got the 150 yd info, looking for 200 yd info...upgrade guage? what would that be? thanks

Jag, You can upgrade to 12 Gauge with Winchester Supreme Elite XP3 sabot slugs. With the 300 grain slug at 2000 FPS their data shows a 12 inch drop at 200 with a 100 yard zero. Hornady SST 300 gr. @ 2000 FPS shows a 6.7 inch drop at 200 with a 150 yd zero. You will also get an upgrade of recoil and price. With a moderately heavy gun (Rem 11-87)and a good scope (Leupold) with adequate eye relief, these slugs are very accurate and deadly.

thanks for replies, not trying to beat this but again, thats why I posted it...hornady 300 gr @ 2k doesn't sound like drop would be half that of 260 gr at 1850...again, thats why I asked, just seems a little much
