Yes, we believe the threads are metric. They are about 1mm apart. There are 12 threads and about 12mm long over all, thank you! 0 -

Trap pegged it. It is a "ceremonial" flag pole topper, typically for those carry flag poles used in parades. Der Fuehrer was big on parades.
I used collect this stuff when I was a kid in high school living in Germany. Depending on where and how you obtained this particular piece will probably tell you without asking whether it is authentic or a knockoff. There is mucho fake WWII German stuff and has been since the end of the war.0 -
