Pyrodex Pellets

What could i use to hold 3 of them together so i will not have to drop 3 in one at a time but drop in one big pellet pack or what not...something that will be consumed and not leave extra residue. Thanks

    Hornady lock-and-load sabot is a sabot with a rod to hold all of the powder charges, you load the whole package, bullet, sabot and powder in one motion

    As has been stated, the Hornady L-N-L sabots have a stem, behind the cup, and I believe an SST bullet.

    For the little performance gained with 3 pellets, most guys only use two. Hodgdon came up with a "magnum" pellet of 777, that they claimed two gave one over 2000 FPS with a 250 grain bullet.

    You might want to think about the clear plastic speed loader's instead that come with a neoprene rubber base. You put a cleaning patch in first to cushion the bullet, then the bullet/bullet-sabot combo, then the powder charge. You pull the tube clear of the base, and dump the charge, and bullet down the muzzle, and when you are done seating, the base also hold the 209 primer. Just a thought...

    I observed in my Black Diamond that three pellets was like shooting a centerfire rather than a front stuffer, and accuracy suffered over 100 grains.

    +1 on the Hornady sabots with the little tail piece. I only used 2 pellets and had to cut some off but they were definitely handy. They also shot very well in my Knight and loaded fairly easily.
