WWII Rifle Stock ID?
We have two rifle stocks that my father brought back with him from WWII. Can anyone help in identifying them? Can e-mail pics if anyone can help. Thanks, sirshadowbear.

Dime to a dollar your father wouldn't have gone through the trouble of bringing back the wood part of the rifles without the rest of the guns. See if they are still available, stacked away somewhere.
Scenario: 'ol pops may have taken the barrelled actions, and put them on 'civillian' wood (in other words, made a sporting rifle out of them), and the wood remained. Can you recall, in the past, a pair of rifles in the house that, over the ensuing years, have disappeared?
And, yes, best to post quality photos of both sides, bottom and tops. Best, and good luck! Joe0 -
shadowbear, Welcome to the forum. I will accept your offer to email pics of the stock. I think I have enough reference material to identify them for you. hsxgarxner@tds.net. remove x's to send email 0 -
