bushmaster xm 15 e25

picked this up this past summer, with 7 30 rd leo magazines (2 colt mfg,3 okay, 2 parsons) mfg 1998 what kind of configuration is this, i was thinking shorty carbine ak a2 and it has safe/fire selector on both sides of frame 14 or 14 1/2" bbl with 2" flash hider. it is not a detatchable carry handle. and did not have case. value wise, what is fair market value? thanks and happy Hollidays to allhttp://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr19/marcus396/003.jpg

    If this is not a factory standard, which it is not with an ambi firecontrol, then you are looking at $750.00-1000.00. Look at the auction side at completed auctions, that have actually sold for the best indicator.

    I have the same one with a 11 1/2" barrel and 5 1/2" flash hider.
    In the market now, value would be closer to the $750 mark.

    update.. unmarked upper, only marking is forging marking on front site forging tower, S R1 5, with Rl being in a circle. no markings bbl. A2 lower receiver shipped 1998, bushmaster says records indicate shipped complete rifle, lower reciever is black, and upper is lt grey 14.5" heavy barrel with 4.5" moderator or faux moderator pressed on.

    EDIT 6 hole double lined heat shield handguard.

    If that flash hider is readily removable? I sure hope you have it taxed stamped as a SBR.

    Other then that it's just somebody's garage project. There are so many uppers, lowers, barrels and assorted parts floating around, you can expect to run into any kind of bubba's frankenstein nowadays.

    New Info, just purchased a windham weaponry M4 LE and emailed dealer pics of bushy, 14.5" barrel with pressed on flash suppressor 35 ton press, prob law enforcement carbine, designed and or built for one thing, close quarter combat, house sweeps, etc, thanks
