Garcia Bronco Caliber?
Just purchased a Garcia Bronco assuming it was chambered in .22 LR. However, I cannot find any markings stating the caliber (no markings on the gun except serial number). A .22 mag case seems to fit in the chamber better than .22LR. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to check the caliber. Any help would be much appreciated.

It might even be a 22 Hornet. If it's a rimfire and 22mag fits the chamber that's about the end of the story. 0 -
A 22 Mag case is .020 larger in diameter then a .22 LR, besides being longer. If the .22 Mag cartridge chambers, that's what it is, unless bubba took a drill bit to one chambered for .22 LR. Stuff like that has happened unfortunately.
I have never seen or heard of the various "Bronco" type rifles made by either by FI, Garica, or that other outfit in MI, (Boweres?) that sold them, being chambered for a centerfire cartridge, although anything is possible. The way that they were made of potmetal even firing a lot of .410's was a iffy proposition.0
