India Bayonet RFI
Have a question about the Auction # 205256489 Bayonet. I am curious if it might be a Reproduction as the markings seem to be very sharp and clear. I am not putting the seller down ,as I am new to bayonets just trying to get background from more knowledgeable people on Military Bayonets. Thanks for your input

The deal killer to me is the words "ENGLAND" stamp. I was under the impression that if the RFI is made at Ishapore Factory why have a England stamp on the back??Just puzzled?[?] S----R 0 -
When surplused out, if prior to the complete severing of Colonial rule, the bayo would have come out through England, very likey. The importers stamps at the time, instead of the company who imports them, were stamped with the country of origin of the shipment. 0
