Mr. Bert.....Polishing Room Records
It has been published (points west) that the Cody museum will provide polishing room records beginning next year. Will these records include the specs on the gun or just the date that it was manufacured? Will it include post 1910 model 1885's?

The Polishing Room serialization records do not contain any specifications about the gun... only the date that the serial number was stamped on the frame/tang.
The PR records for the Model 1885 go up to serial number 115308 (May 26th, 1914). I have a copy of them in my research notes.0 -
Bert,would those records indicate how a particular barrel was to be chambered? Like .22long rifle,.270 Winchester,etc.
