I have come across a 3x12x56 nova that the seller claims its only 8 yrs old. My problem is that its a shiny finish and not a matte finish and I think its older than that. How much is this scope worth?

  They are very good scopes. Just something Swarovski decided to do in the marketing department a number of years ago, and that is to offer upper and lower lines.
  
  This scope as is could run from $600-$750ish maybe more. I know I sold a Swarovski PH 3-12x56 for $990 about two years ago. Times have been a little tighter in the past two years so I don't see this scope going up in price. But, like I mentioned if you can get it anywhere in the range of the lower number, it's a good buy.
  
  As far as gloss finish, that's what they are.
