870 broken ejector
I have a broke ejector on my 870 receiver. I have researched to find out how to fix the problem. Looks like I need someone that has the tools to do it properly. Is this something a general gunsmith could do or would Remington need to do it? Also, would it be worth the cost...as I value the gun at about $125. Point me in the right direction or person that can fix it...thanks for your time.

Put "870 ejector" in "search" above. There are some threads there on them. 0 -
It does not need to go to Remington to be fixed, but you looking at about $60 to $75 to fix. I teach firearms at a local Police Academy and maintain about 30 Remington 870's for them.
I had to take 2 of them to a local gunsmith with broken ejectors recently. It takes special tools to remove and replace the rivets that hold the ejectors in the side of the receiver. I had them replace the ejectors but not refinish the receiver as that cost another $15 per gun and we dont care how the guns look, only that they work.0 -
YOU ONLY NEED THE FRONT RIVET, THE $+- $75 FOR THE GUNSMITH IS ABOUT RIGHT. THE RECEIVER WILL HAVE TO BE 'SPOT' REFINISHED AS WELL. 0 -
