If you are looking for more modern, try Dakota, and Cooper.

On the old side, Purdey, The Ferlach Gun Guild, Verney-Carron, Holland and Holland, Rigby (old and new), Colts and Winchester factory engraved guns....

On the new side?... Ray Riganian custom rifles comes quickly to mind.

Griffin & Howe has created many fine custom sporters over the years. It might be worth your while to get a copy of Custom Gunmakers of the 29th Century by Michael Petrov. He lists names, biographical info and pictures of products of most all of the best custom gunsmiths.

Hey Herschel: That Petrov cat must be the next Nostradamus to have written a book on 29th century firearms! Haw Haw! Sorry, couldn't resist. [}:)]I realise the 9 and 0 are right together...happens to me all the time. And indeed Mr Petrov did put out an excellent book there.
