11--48 rem.
can some one tell me the year this gun was built,it is an 11-48 rem.16ga.the #'s on the barrel are BU4,88 and CR,on the reciver is 5590314.thats all i have.

Well by reading this site I make it to be Jan 1971. That seems to indicate a replacement barrel. But I ain't no remington expert.

Cause this site says they stopped making em in 1968.

Where on the barrel are these marks located. If the CR is located just ahead of the receiver on the left, I get April 1968.
Is the other BU4,88 or is it BU4 and 88 seperately?0 -
thats where the cr is and the BU is seperate from the 88.
