Does anyone know the name of the company or where I can buy the compass that replaces your scope caps?

Very cool idea, especially for those of us who frequently forget our compass when we go afield.
Just another thought, get a bubble level for the side cap of the scope so you could then record both azimuth and elevation angle for each shot, like arty troops do. LOL [:D]0 -
Simmons and Tasco used to have them for spoting scopes. Those are the only ones I've seen. 0 -
You can also glue on a small compass to the existing cap if you have to. 0 -
You may want to check if your rifle is slightly magnetic. I know it sounds weird, but I used to deer huntin northeastern Pa.,which is heavily wooded, so I always carried a compass. I bought a used Sako and started having troubles with the compass bearings. One hunt I leaned the gun on a tree and took a few steps awat and when I tried to use the compass it was pointing right at the gun! 0 -
Keep watching the auctions, one sold in November;

I use a compass that pins on my jacket or shirt. 0 -
I have a compass app in my phone. It's handy sometimes, if I forget my real one. 0
