Shipping Question # 2
The previous thread (see link) ended on a "who's right?" so I thought I'd extend by one post and possible correction.

I believe the references to a firearm being shipped to premises other than listed on the FFL applies to Type 01 dealers only and not to Type 3 Collectors. The ATF reg quoted makes reference to "business" location and using the ATF quick check system - neither of which apply to Type 03 Collectors who can neither engage in business nor have their FFL verified with quick check.
This is just my understanding from having read the ATF website, if this is not correct I'd be glad to learn otherwise.

My 03 ffl has different 'premises' and 'mailing' addresses. I have received shippments to the mailing address from importers and dealers. 0 -
You can also call the nearest field office with a verbal question. I have done this several times and have always received a courteous answer to my questions. 0
