I purchased a Weaver 4x12x44 about four months ago and am well pleased with it. I have used it for hunting in misty weather and it did not fog. Also, I have used it in weather in the low thirties, and it worked quite well.
I looked at Nikon's & Leupold's but a comparable scope would have been in the five or six hundred dollar range. The Weaver cost $180.00. When I held this Weaver up next to the Nikon's & Leupold, there was no noticeable difference in clarity.
I have to buy another scope for a different rifle in the next month or so, and it will be a duplicate.

Check out this link. I have not seen any advertised on Gunbroker, or would have directed you to an auction.

Take a look at samplelist.com. They have dealer samples and used scopes; very large assortment of scopes at decent prices. 0
