$ for recoil pad and install?
Any ideas what a typical recoil pad and install would be at a gunsmith? Have an A-5 that needs one and rifle one that needs to be replaced. Probably have to so some cutting on the A-5 stock.

It depends. I charge 35.00 labor plus the price of the pad. Some charge more, some charge quite a bit more, some less. Depending on the price of the pad (you can check online, try Brownells) will depend on the total cost. I would try to not cut the stock if possible as it will greatly affect the value of the gun. 0 -
Depends on the gun and type of pad you want, plus where you are located geographically.
Figure about $40 for the installation (if uncomplicated) and another $20-30 for the pad itself.
Also, there are guns that have "drop in" pads available. If you're replacing one on a gun that already has a pad installed, you might check first to see if one is available before going to a gunsmith.0
