I used my typical source and it says serial number not found. Yes I rechecked the number on the rifle 3 times. It is a newer gun with the checkered stock, rebounding hammer and cross bolt safety. the
#97302xxx

Any good idea's?

  It was manufactured in 2003.

  This is for a Marlin 336, but should work for the 39A-
