Grip tape for rifle stock
Im wanting to add something to the forend to my remington stock, ive seen grip tape used and it looks ok, but id rather use something paintable like spray on bedlinner or something. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I use this black tape on ALL my guns (shotgun, match revolver, match 1911). It looks very professional (not cheesy) and you can cut it to contour. It is NOT the abrasive skateboard stuff it is a nice stippled texture.
It is not cheap but one $17 roll is more than enough.

Plenty of shooters do use skateboard grip tape for this application.
If you are interested in using it, just realize that there are different types of skateboard tape available! There is a coarse type, which is probably the best for actual skateboarding, but REALLY abrasive.
There are also lighter grades (using finer grits) that are FAR less abrasive and probably better suited to your purpose.
Also, actual skateboard tape does come in different colors other than black, including camo (!) and transparent.0 -
