S&W 629 scope mount
I have a S&W 629 Classic, 6.5" full underlug barrel and unflutted cylinder. Very nice and really turns heads at the range for being a stock piece.
I have considered on several occasions mounting a scope to it. My favorite is one made by B-Square which has a full length Weaver rail which mounts both on the frame and at the front sight.
From visiting their site, it looks like they dropped if from production and I can't find anything similar.
Does anyone know of a source or a company that sells something similar?
Or, was this design flawed? I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks!!!
Rick

I have an older 629 that is not drilled and tapped for a scope mount. Is there any reason that I should not drill and tap this gun to accept a scope mount, as I believe the newer guns are from the factory? Thanks in advance for your input. 0 -
There used to be a mount manufactured by BSquare that would allow a scope to be mounted on an N Frame without drilling. I believe they used to holes the sights use. 0 -
You will not hurt the value by having it drilled and tapped. Check out the Weigand scope bases for the N frames, they make a real nice mount. 0
