what is a good load for a old wm moore double barrel 12 ga

  40 grns black powder, 1 ounce shot, adjust up or down for taste...... if they are damascus twist barrells,you should have it checked by a competent gunsmith, it may be just a wallhanger.

  My dad had one that some dumby converted to musket caps. Very nice shotgun otherwise. We shot 60-70 grains FFG. 1 to 1 1/2 ounce shot depending what we were hunting with it.
