DRI-ROD 12 inch For 36 Gun Safe.............
Hello, Does anyone know if I can mount this dehumidfier in my safe. I am concerned with the interior/upholstry and fire. I noticed it comes with clips which keep the rod from direct contact with the upholstry. Thanks for the help............

It would be fine but the 12 inch rod seems a little small to me. I have an 18 inch in my 14 gun cabinet. 0 -
Armilite, Right.....figured that out after I bought it. I found a 24" rod, but will have to order it online. I am really concerned with the contact & fire. Thanks......... 0 -
It's basically a dehumidifer and doesn't throw off heat it is basically warm to the touch that's all. 0 -
They don't get that hot. If you're still concerned, hang it from hooks or set it on a couple of small pieces of 2x4. 0 -
I hang mine on a gun barrel. 0 -
You might check out some of the products sold at http://mpionline.biz/ and especially the Rifle Rod Video which shows rods for storing pistols and revolers. 0 -
Am I missing something?
You are worried about a product that is built to be used in a gun safe being unsafe in a gun safe?0 -
I have 2 golden rods both 18" long
and each draws 18 watts per the package.
It might melt seran wrap maybe.0 -
Thanks to all for your help.......... 0 -
