Need Sierra COAL
I'm reloading a 270 Winchester using 52 grains of Hodgden H4350.
The bullet is a 110 grain Sierra Pro-Hunter Spitzer(1810).
I'm thinking about 3.300 COAL.
What does the book say?

That seems pretty short for my Remington 700 chamber.0 -
in a rem700 (several for that matter) I have loaded 130gr NBT's so far out, they are barely in the case. Even being that long, they still feed from the magazine. This is .020" off the lands for hunting use.
as long as they still feed from the magazine, you are fine, as the magazine length (from my experience) is shorter than the distance to being seated into the lands.0 -
I was almost afraid to say it
3.300-2.715=0.585[:0][:D] I haven't done the math on the bullet length, but with that lil 110gr pill, how much is left to grab?0 -
2.175 is past the curve of the ogive.
I went with 3.2750
