remington 30-06 help
A buddy of mine just recieved a remington 30-06 bolt action for free from a reative. The question is whats it worth ( i know no pics) but it's stamped US Remington model 03-A3 # 3516131 any help would be great

Need pics. It at least started out life as a military issue Remington made Springfield 1903-A3 rifle. Beyond that , not being aware of it's condition or originality, I can't even begin to say what it is worth. Could be $150 hack job sporter...$800 original military configuration...$400 nicely done sporter...$1200 or more known custom gunmaker....who knows? 0 -

+1. Here's mine, IIRC, I paid $199 ~10 years ago. It came with iron sights (peep hole type) and have since then drilled and tapped for scope as seen and bolt handle work to accommodate the scope.
She's quite the shooter and my son have harvested plenty of antelopes and deer with it using factory 180gr Corelokts.
