Anyone have any idea when a 94 30-30 with sn: 3628069 was made?

  I just bought a winchester 94 30-30 from this auction site. Should get it in a couple day's I hope. It was manufactured in 1977. Is there anything I should Know about this rifle. Whats your opinion of it?

  Please refer to the BertH serial number data at "Sticky: Winchester Model 1894 facts (updated 1/18/10). This is just a few entries above the one you posted. According to Bert's information, it looks like your Winnie is a 1953 model. I encourage you to read BertH's material. Bert is "The Man" on Winchester serial numbers, models, and details.

  It most likely is a 1953 vintage gun. You can check the barrel date to confirm the date.
