There does exist the possibility of 45 GAP, instead of 45 ACP, but I wouldn't go there. You would need to change the whole upper end, and I don't think the 23's frame is reinforced like the GAP frames, although, they are not apparently reinforced enough. I am thinking that the 45 GAP is going to be an orphin in the near future.

No, you can not. 0 -
It would be cheaper and safer to buy the Glock 30.
If you want a 45 compact, sell the G23 and take that money and whatever money you have that you planned on spending to convert the G23 to a 45 and you can buy the G30 and have money left over.0 -
Thanks for the input. I guess I will have to buy a glock 30 now. 0 -

Not in any way that makes engineering or economical sense.
IE "no".
If you want a .45ACP Glock you'll have to buy one.
If you want a service type gun that can easily convert between .40SW and .45ACP take a look at the Tanfoglio (EAA) Witness, which will also let you go to .22LR, 9mm luger, .38 super, and 10mm.0 -

Or a Glock 36....fewer rds. but may fit your hand better. Try them both and get the one that fits you.0 -
Whats wrong with your Glock 23? Do you think if you have to use it, the 40 caliber bullets will not be effective?? Why do you think you need a 45? The Glock 23 is the perfect size carry and concealment pistol, with 14 rounds of 40 caliber ammo, you will be ready for just about any situation, except for a zombie attack. 0 -
Agreed with CS8162. What is your goal with the conversion?
You have a good gun why mod it...
If you could!0
