LATEST ON THE STOLEN GUN....
Why did that post get locked so soon? I have been following it and thought it had a lot of information as far as "what to do" and "what if".

Best guess, and I have seen this happen before with other topics, is that it no longer was an "Ask the Experts" situation. It has become a general discussion instead. But, there is no reason it couldn't be continued on that forum. 0 -
Hi Guys
Could the reason be, sour apples for Gun Broker, since I won the "HOT" the gun on Gun Broker Auction. I bet the guy who locks these up wouldn't be doing that if he was in my shoes and out $2,900 + $114 filing court fee.
Guys you know what conserns me the most is that going to the Pawn shops county court and running into a judge that is in the "good old boys syndrome" where right and wrong doesn't matter.
I really need all the pointers and help from you guys I can get.
Thanks
"Jerry who was taken for $2,900 on Gun Broker Auction"0 -
Gunbroker didn't sell you the gun and they didn't make you buy it. There are dishonest people in this world and you ran into one of them.

I don't believe any "good old boy" judge is going to side with a pawn shop selling stolen firearms. And, if the pawn shop unknowingly sold you a stolen firearm, they should have an "errors and omissions" clause in their insurance policy to cover them. 0 -
Hi Athompson
I understand that the Livonia Pawn shop, has "Gun Broker" Logo on there advertising page. These are the people that you say are dishonest. If I had't wont the STOLEN gun the runner up on the auction would have. Anyway you look at it they sold me a Stolen gun.0 -

I agree that they sold you a stolen gun. I am just saying that "THEY" is Livonia Pawn Shop and not Gunbroker. If you had seen an ad in the newspaper for this gun and bought it; would it be the paper's fault? I just fail to see how Gunbroker has any responsibility in this matter.

I would wonder about what laws would be involved in the interstate transfer of something as regulated as hand guns are what with it being stolen? Also, if someone has been found to be knowingly selling stolen items, wouldn't their account be frozen? 0 -

If they are found to have been knowingly and willfully selling and transferring stolen firearms, having their account locked is the least of their concerns.

Back to the original post: The original post that you questioned about being locked was locked when a moderator notices it has achieved the ten reply limit on ATE. It has nothing to do with the content.

Hello
I understand they advertise using Gun Broker Logo. I seriouslly DOUBT if Gun Broker has kicked them off or froze there account. I also doubt if Georgia authorities would do anything to Pawn shop, even if you reported them. I still WORRY about having a Judge from there county. I have 2 Police reports from Tennessee where the gun was consfigated and one from Texas where it was stolen in 1988.
Thanks and PLEASE help with needed advice.
Thanks in advance
