Value of 1933 Browning shotgun
I know value is based a lot on condition, etc, but can anyone give me a price range for a 1933 Belgium made Browning 12 gauge shotgun (vented rib)? Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

A few things will be needed before you can get a decent reply. You do not say what condition the metal or wood is in. You need to tell if it's still completely original or if the buttplate has been removed, has the butt stock been shortened, does it have a recoil pad, what is the grade of wood, is the receiver engraved....etc.
All of these things play a key role in determining value. Without knowing any of the above, it would be anywhere from $200.00 to $3000.00.

The gun is still in original condition including the butt plate. Never been shortened, refinished, or blued. No recoil pad. The metal has no etching other than a few symbols and numbers. Apparently, it was made by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for Browning in 1933. Serial number is 145369. It also says full 12 special steel on the barrel. Shoots 2 3/4 shells.I would say that the wood is in excellent condition. All the carved design on the stock and barrel grip are in great shape. The metal is probably in fair to good condition. I have been told that it is an A-5 vent rib. That is about all I can figure out about it. Hope that can narrow the range a bit. Thanks 0 -
I'm certainly not a Browning 'expert', but I don't think they had 'vent ribs' in 1933 (solid ribs, yes). 0 -

My Blue Book says it is a 1929 model.[;)]0
