H & R Handy Gun and Stevens Trapper Model
I recently inherited a H & R Handy Gun with 12" barrel. Also I have one Stevens "Trapper Model" with 12" bbl. They were both registered to my Dad during the amnesty period. Can I sell them? I forgot I am the executor of his estate.
I have some pics if that would help.
Thanks

If they are registered then yes you can sell them. As the executor of the estate you can retain control of the firearms in that capacity for a limited period of time (the BATFE will use your state law as their guide for a time limit), but if you retain them for an "extended" period then the BATFE will want you to register the guns to yourself using a Form 5. There is no transfer tax involved with a Form 5 because you will be considered the lawful heir. 0 -
We would love to see pics! 0
