Remington Model ????

I have a Remington bolt-action rifle in caliber .222 Rem. According to the date codes it was manufactured in 1953. I can't find any model designation on it. Am I missing something, or were some Remington rifles made without the model number?

  I'd guess from the limited information that it is a Remington Model 722.More info(pictures,etc.) would be useful for a better determination.
