Pictures and proof marks will tell a lot.

The big time British gunmaker was Joseph Manton. I cannot find much about W & H Manton. There were a lot of copies trying to cash in on brand names back then.

Mr. Carse is correct. I can find information on Joseph Manton but absolutely nothing on a W & H Manton. I strongly suspect it is JABC(Just another Belgian clunker). To confirm this, take a look at the bottom of the barrels under the forearm for any proof marks. If the gun was made in Belgium, there will be the letters "ELG" in an oval with a crown over that. I would like to know so that I can include the name in my listings of old shotguns.
