The one in the auction is for an I frame Colt. I'm thinking it will be too large for your Police Positive. If you don't get a definate answer tonight, I'll take one out of a Official Police and try it in a Police Positive Friday afternoon. Theres a good chance I have one either way. Numrich list one for a Police Positive Special.

Thanks !! My old catalogs show different part numbers for the Officer model and my police positive. One is a "I" frame, one is a "D" frame, but I don't know much about old colts. I"m a 1911 man myself. Let me know if you have something. Prefer to go thru GB auctions, they pay for this forum and I don't want to cut them out. But what ever you want. Thanks again , bob 0 -
If it helps any the Police Positive Special is a D frame.
Other examples include - Detective Special, Agent, Diamondback and
several others. Many parts are interchangeable within this group.0 -
I pulled a crane lock screw from an O.P. and although the threads are the same, the screw is too long and the shoulder is too thick for it to work in a P.P. I did not find one in my parts, but I'll keep looking. 0 -
Thanks I will wait a bit ....have lots of work to do to this oldie. Bob 0 -
Frame Colts include - Official Police, Python & various Officers Models revolvers. 0
