Not enough information to work with...My Satterlee and Gluckman Book on American Gun makers says only that Asa Story was a Windsor , Vt, maker in the 1835 period..
Can you post Photos And a comprehensive discription of the Gun in your pocession....?

yes I did figure out that the gun was made in Windsor V.T. and went there to the purcusion museum to check it out...very cool place. There was not much about Asa most info seemed to be recorded after Nicanor Kendall appreticed for him starting in 1835 . Anything prior to that is very very sparse it seems .
I would recomend if your ever in that area to stop by there and check it out.

Not much in Logans book.Asa Story was one of the first to produce underhammer guns in Vermont From 1835 to 1843 and his guns are somewhat rare. another well known maker by the name of Nicanor Kendell (1842 to 1844) apprenticed under him. There's a newer book out by a N.L Chandler that might have more info
