Here are some pic's of the underhammer muzzle loader in question the other day.
I did run over it with an eye loop and found another location that had some stamping on it.
Here is what is on the barrle.

    Hitchcock and Muzzy were barrel makers located in Low Moor,New England and they supplied barrels to other makers such as Durkee and Hamilton. Including the barrel makers name on a gun was not a common practice. That guns a prize on several notes IMHO

    Whether to sell it, get an appraisal, or for your insurance policy, you need better photos. I suggest that you pay a professional photographer, if this is the best you can do. At the least, you will have an album that you can email to folks.

    If it were my gun, I'd send good photos to Rock Island Auctions. They can give you a good idea of what they think that they can get for it; they seem to have a lot of customers with deep pockets.
