Welding an old revolver frame
I have an old top break revolver with some corrosion in the cylinder lifter area. I am thinking about welding it with oxy-acytelene and ordinary steel wire filler, grinding it smooth and bluing it. The frame ain't worth much, its not Colt or an S&W collectible. JB Weld worked as a trial, but I want to make the repair permanent. Comments? Thanks.

if you are into welding it,try some 3 1/2 % nickel steel welding rod availible at brownells.use some heat stop paste to stop the heat where you do not want it.i have used it in the past and it works really well and blues really nice. good luck! 0
