Both my P7 M8 and M13 fire whatever I put in it! Should have no problem with any factory ammo or correctly loaded handloads. GREAT pistols! JMHO

The HK P7 is an awesome gun, and is my daily carry gun. I would not put +P ammo in it, and definitely would not use +P+. While the gun is probably robust enough to handle it, I don't think it's needed. Shot placement trumps bullet energy every day of the week. Spend more time practicing with standard ammo. Some people follow the idea that they will only use +P or +P+ ammo for when they are carrying, and they will practice with lighter loads. You should practice with the ammo you are going to be using in your carry gun. To me +P and +P+ ammo are a scam.

also do not shoot lighter than 115 gr ammo in it. stay away from +P+ and unjacketed ammo

I agree with mooseyard. Even though your handgun will handle it, the amount of practice needed to become proficient with the heavier loadings will accellerate wear on the pistol, and shooter. Get yourself some good 124's and become as good as you can, and don't look back. The only way you could get a better gun, is if they had made it in 45!
