Winchester Model 12 How to remove the plug?

How do I remove or put one in actually? I can take the gun down but am not sure how to get to the plug. Thanks.

  Its a bit of a pain. You need to remove the little screws at the end of the mag tube and pull the cross pin. Take the little screws out first then pull the cross pin clear thru. The spring will come out, then just put the plug in and reverse the process.

  Thank you! I had pulled the screws but wasn't sure about being able to pull the pin all the way through. [;)]
