Glock 4th Generation Magazine Identification?
I was told that the 4th generation magazines were the mags with the notch out of the front of the mag plastic down to the metal liner. With only the standard notch on the right side. Someone just told me that the 4th gen mags have a notch out of both sides (which kinda makes sense)? Anyone know for sure? I could not find any pics or a decent explanation on Glock or by searching Google. I have quite a few new G19 & G23 mags that are standard and several with the notch out of the front. Thanks!

4th. Gen. mags have notches on both sides so the mag release can be switched to the other side. Also the notches are bigger. 0 -
Thank you, DCS. Any idea why the newer 3rd gen mags have the cut out of the plastic down to the liner on the front of the mags like in my auction below? I can't seem to find out if there is a purpose for it. Thanks

Haven't had any fourth gen mags yet. My guess is that they are a little longer to fit the new grip.
I have used my 19 mags in a 26 shooting a match.
As long as they work it would not bother me.0
