I had that happen to me once and it turned out that the bullets weren't seated far enough. Even though I was at the right OAL the bullet was still out too far. A guy at the range told me to seat the bullet a bit further in, problem solved.

Magnum primers are recommended for sphiracle powders - did you use one?

Agree with Sams here. Short of defective primers causing a lock time delay, or some issue with storage/condition of the powder itself, you likely need to back off about 10% charge weight wise, and go for a CCI 250 Magnum large rifle primer (or brand of choice). Also, although it is largely the bain of accuracy, a little more crimp to increase the internal pressure might help. Since Spherical powders tend to be pretty dense due to their heavy kernel density and round, better packing shape (as oppossed to extruded, tube powders which will bridge and pack looser taking up more volume in the case) they will often not fill a case particularly well, and you could start experiencing position sensitivity. This likely could be the trouble too as oppossed to anything like not enough punch from your primers.

What cartridge is this? How much 49 grs. fills the case would have something to do with it delaying like that. Another issue could be how far back you push the shoulder when reloading. I've seen a number of times with excess headspace a round not going right off.

And, since it's H-380, I'll concure with what the others have said about going with a magnum primer. Go back to the starting load and work up.

According to my books that is 4 gr below the suggested starting load. Mine shows a start at 53 gr.
