Remington 770 7mm mag

What is the differnce between the 7mm mauser and the 7mm mag? Can I shoot either out of the 770? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  No the 7MM Mauser and the 7MM Magnum are two totally different cartridges. What is your 770 chambered for?

  No, the 7mm Mauser (7x57) will fall into the 7mm Rem. Mag. chamber because it's smaller and the 7mm RM will not fit into the Mauser chamber because it's larger.
