What's it worth

I am looking at a Colt 1991A1 stainless compact model. Just wondering an aproximate value. stock condition extra magazine & shoulder holster.has a couple of light stains or rust in a couple of places..so much for that stainless thing! Haven't tried to clean it might just be chickin grease[:D]

  I have a browning Hipower serial #174xx , then after the serial number is (L in cursive or a pa ??)can't really read it ,has a W3a14,on frame,slide and bbl, MR on the trigger guard. german eagle on rear,1 oclock of trigger.
  
  any idea of what it's worth , when it was made and who it might have gone to ??? I think it might be pre WW2 but not sure.oh ya and it still work's just fine !!

  The value of common guns can usually be determined by looking at completed auctions on Gunbroker.
  
  Go to the GB homepage & click on the SmartSearch link. Specify COMPLETED auctions, exclude reserve auctions, & sort by highest number of bids.
